Open Door Veterinary Collective has announced a $1.9 Million grant from the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation, a private charitable foundation based in Incline Village, Nevada, to develop and implement the Yes to Care program. This three-year unique collaborative pilot program will provide solutions for veterinary teams, and ultimately pet families, to address the rising cost of veterinary care.

Largest gift in university history names Cornell David A. Duffield College of Engineering
More than $520 million in contributions from David A. Duffield ’62, MBA ’64 – including a new pledge of $371.5 million and a 2025 commitment of $100 million, combined with previous gifts – will establish the Cornell David A. Duffield College of Engineering. His newest pledge is the largest single gift in Cornell history.

K9s For Warriors Marks Major Milestone with the Opening of its First-Ever On-Site Veterinary Clinic
K9s For Warriors, the nation’s leading provider of Service Dogs to military Veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma, announced today the opening of its new Duffield Veterinary Clinic. This new, state-of-the-art on-site veterinary facility will help ensure the highest quality of health and well-being for hundreds of dogs training in the organization’s Service Dog program each year.
Army and Navy Academy is honored to announce an impactful $2.5 million gift from philanthropists and entrepreneurs Dave and Cheryl Duffield. The contribution will support the long-term preservation and enhancement of the Duffield Sports Complex – originally dedicated on October 5, 2013 – and continue its legacy as a hub for athletic excellence, leadership development, and community engagement.

North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District receives $700k grant for emergency systems upgrades
The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District has been awarded a $700,000 grant from the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation to support critical emergency systems enhancements throughout the District. The grant supports NLTFPD’s ongoing efforts to modernize equipment and infrastructure, enhancing emergency communication and response systems to improve public safety and operational efficiency in the Incline Village and Crystal Bay communities. These upgrades will strengthen the District’s ability to respond to emergencies and build long-term community resilience.

Incline High Opens Three-Story Expansion
Incline High School unveiled its newest expansion and renovation project on Thursday, May 15. The expansion, funded by a grant from the Dave and Cheryl Duffield Foundation, includes a three-story, 12,000-square-foot addition to the campus. Some of the new features in the building include a culinary arts kitchen, a student and community hub, a dance studio and new classrooms for the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.

Historic $100 million investment to expand Engineering’s Duffield Hall
A $100 million philanthropic commitment, the largest in Cornell Engineering’s history, from David A. Duffield ’62, MBA ’64, will significantly expand the college’s existing Duffield Hall, creating a new state-of-the-art home for the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and critical new lab space for strategic research priorities.

Dave and Cheryl Duffield Commit $1 Million to Animal Welfare Organizations for Hurricane Relief Efforts
Software industry entrepreneur Dave Duffield and his wife Cheryl have committed $1 million to animal welfare organizations for Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts through their two foundations, Maddie’s Fund® and The Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation. These funds will support organizations that are helping animals directly affected by the catastrophic hurricanes. The two hurricanes, which struck land less than two weeks apart, have resulted in destruction and hundreds of deaths across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee.
