According to PetSmart Charities, 50 million pets don't receive the medical or preventative care they need because their families can't afford care or don't have convenient access to veterinary services.

The Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation is committed to investing in programs that efficiently and sustainably provide low-cost, quality veterinary care for pets in rural and underserved communities.

Partnering for Pets

DCDF collaborates with the nation’s leaders in access-to-veterinary-care programs and thought leadership to narrow the care gap, ensuring companion animals receive the quality care they deserve.

In May 2026, Feeding Pets of the Homeless®, a national nonprofit providing veterinary care and essential pet resources for families facing financial hardship, partnered with community services and DCDF to provide free wellness examinations, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neuter vouchers, pet food, and supplies to nearly 200 pets during two Duffield Pet Wellness Clinics held in Northern Nevada.

Access to Care partners and grantees include these non-profit pet champions.
